Pakistanis In County Cricket 2022

Pakistan men’s national team have toured England for six consecutive summers. While they won’t be touring England for the upcoming summer of 2022, there will still nevertheless be many Pakistani cricketers featuring in the county competitions.

Here are some of them who have been signed up over the winter.

Shan Masood – The tall left-handed opener with four Test centuries will be turning out for Derbyshire where he will reunite with former Pakistan Coach Mickey Arthur.

Mohammad Rizwan – The Pakistan vice-Captain will be plying his trade at Sussex, a county with a history of signing Pakistan overseas pros such as Imran Khan, Mushtaq Ahmed, Mohammad Sami and Umar Gul.

Shaheen Afridi – Shaheen Afridi will get the chance to play at the Home of Cricket. The left arm seamer has signed for Middlesex. He has fond memories of the ground, taking 6 wickets against Bangladesh in the 2019 World Cup at the venue.

Haris Rauf – The speedster will be turning out for Yorkshire in his first experience of county cricket. Rauf had the opportunity to play at Headingley in 2021 during the England vs Pakistan 2nd T20 international.
