Nasser Hussain to Return to Pakistan After 22 Years

Former England Captain Nasser Hussain will be returning to Pakistan after 22 years for the upcoming ICC World Test Championship series between Pakistan and England in Rawalpindi, Multan and Karachi.

Nasser will be joined by fellow former England Captains David Gower and Mike Atherton who both played over 100 Test Matches and made Test centuries in Pakistan on their one and only tour to the country in 1984 and 2000 respectively.

Atherton, Gower and Hussain form a star studded commentary line up from representatives of the visiting team. It is hard to think of a more high profile commentary team there’s been for a bilateral series in Pakistan before. The trio were not only vastly experienced cricketers and former Captains who Captained their country in One Day World Cups, but they are also household names in broadcasting since retiring from the game for Sky Sports and the ICC in tournament events respectively.

Nasser Hussain is one of only two English Captains to win a Test Match in Pakistan. The other being Ted Dexter who sadly passed away last year aged 85 shortly after being inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame during the inaugural ICC World Test Championship final in Southampton.
