Nasser Hussain Likely to Miss England’s 2024 Tests in Pakistan

Former England Captain Nasser Hussain is likely to miss England’s Test tour of Pakistan in October as it will clash with the 9th edition of ICC Women’s Twenty20 World Cup in Bangladesh. Nasser is only one of three English Captains to win a Test Match or Test series in Pakistan along with the late Ted Dexter and current England Test Captain Ben Stokes on the recent tour in December 2022 which Nasser commentated in.

The tour will be England’s penultimate assignment of the 2023-2025 ICC World Test Championship cycle which culminates with a Lord’s final in mid 2025. Nasser has been a regular in ICC World Events and is widely regarded as one of the better callers of women’s cricket from ex male professionals. Nasser is expected to be in Pakistan for their ICC Champions Trophy defence later in the 2024-25 winter however.
